- Cracked and weathered sandstone – repaired with lithomex to match the existing stone. One scratch coat was applied and left to dry, followed by a fine top coat finish. All work carried out safely using rope access.

- Chimney pot haunching – secured using a suitable mortar mix, applied with precision to ensure the chimney pot remains stable and weatherproof.

- Cope stone restoration – defective stone was descaled, a scratch coat applied, and a top coat with red dye mixed into the mortar to match the original chimney colour.

- Restoring weathered stonework – old surfaces were fully raked out and primed with PVA glue. A scratch coat and final fine coat of mortar were applied. Coping stone joints were raked to 25mm and fully repointed.
Working Safely at Height
We use secure aluminum steeplejack ladders and double-rope safety systems for all rope-access tasks.
For larger or sensitive areas, scaffolding is deployed—with full safety planning.

- Descale damaged stone to a clean base.
- Apply first coat of Lithomex with float and hawk.
- Allow to dry, apply final finish coat.
- For copes/apex – drill, fix with dowels/crampons, point securely.
- Clean up, inspect, and sign off with you.
